Douglas Estuardo was the top student in the public school which recommended him. He is an excellent student but because the government doesn't offer higher education, a private school is the only option for him to continue studying. His parents left Guatemala to go to the United States illegally looking for work. They have since separated and have abandoned their children. Douglas and his sister live with an aunt. Hilda Tacen, also featured on the site, is his cousin.
